Hola
Im officially traveling on my own, im so excited to be doing this. My friends have all gone back home, except for David who is also traveling El Salvador utill Friday, but we have decided to travel on our own, this is god as I have no time limit and can go at my own pace and learn to get by, if a little slowly using my broken Spanish, its so exciting and liberating! I got from Copan in Honduras to La Palma in El Salvador yesterday, it took 7.5hrs, 4 buses, 1 taxi and a border crossing, where the man called me Miss England, which made me chuckle! but I got to my destination and planned hotel, which is swwt and all the walls are covered in art work and they serve really lovely food so I am happy yey! And they have a pool but iut is really m,ixed weaher so I havent braved a swim yet, but I will!!
Im off to exlpore the small village now, it is set in the pine covered mountains of Northern El Salvador, it is a real craft filled town full of artists and work shops.
Traveling on my own is full of ups and downs, I was so elated yesterday on my arrival and so proud of myself for achieving this journey and thought I craved some time on my own as really havent had much of that in the last few weeks so checke into a hotel rather than a hostel, but once in my room on my own, felt a little bit lonely I think this is just part and parcel of traveling and something I will adapt too, but you will be glad to hear that it didnt last long and also think I was just a little bit tired and needed some good food, other than cake and biscuits which was the only thing I had eaten all day!
Hasta luego amigos xxxxxx
